Swimming participants:
When swimming, I will:
Not run-on poolside
Not jump in the pool unless advised
If I am feeling unwell, I will alert a teacher
I will not play “breathing games” (holding my breath) as they can be dangerous
I will enter the pool feet first always
I will not put my hands in any vents or grates in the pool
I will not splash other pupils or the teacher
I will bring a towel with me to the poolside to wrap around me when I get out of the pool
I will listen to my swimming teacher at all times
I will always smile & have fun
I understand that if I do not follow the code I could be removed from the classes
Parents:
I must arrive 5 minutes before the class starts, please do not attend earlier
I will ensure my child has a towel to take to the poolside so they can pat themselves dry before entering the changing rooms
Children must come ‘beach ready’ for their swim lessons
Children rinse, using poolside shower facilities, before entering the pool and completing of the swimming lesson
Children will rinse in the poolside showers, children are only permitted to use this shower & not in the changing room showers due to the number of participants, these areas should be left for members of the club only. Showering will need to wait until the participant is home.
No parents permitted on poolside to watch classes
Children and parents are to depart immediately after a swimming lesson
No food or drink is permitted poolside or in the changing rooms, please use the cafe
No prams permitted on site
No mobile phones are permitted in the changing rooms, shower area, or poolside
Keep to designated areas of the changing rooms, we need to be mindful of members of the club.
On the odd occasion I may be asked to go onto the poolside, I do not enter the pool hall or shower area unless I have blue overshoes
I understand that if I do not follow the code, my child may be removed & cancelled from future lessons
